July 2011

Gyuh. Again.
July 21, 2011

I see we've somehow managed to get to the middle of July without an update. Again. I'm pretty sure this happened last year as well. lol. At any rate, I've plugged it into my phone now to remind me that I need to do something with my website other than just let it sit out there on the interwebz where nobody is looking at it. Nobody looks at it after I update it but it makes me feel better when I do something with it. The bad thing about updating now as opposed to later is that I'm going to be gone for the next two weeks. Again. So yeah, no updates until I get back because I'm not taking my computer with me. It's way too honking huge. Hopefully I'll manage to save up some money this year and buy a new one but we'll see. Buying a new comp also means buying a new version of Photoshop. The church bought the last copy but I doubt they'll be so generous a second time. I'll probably just end up leaving this one as a Photoshop machine and use the other, sweet, awesome, new laptop for everything else.

Since the last update I've gotten to be extremely, very Scrooge-like. I haven't bought an unpractical thing since I realized that I was going to have to just live off of my basic paycheck for three months. June was easy, July hasn't been so bad but August is when I'm going to really start feeling it because I won't have any piano money until September. That's off subject though.

What is the subject? Updates. First off, I'm just as anti-Calvinistic as I was when I left for Thailand. I haven't posted anything at risk of it becoming a vendetta -which I don't want- but I might start again if I run out of things to say. Secondly, we've got a LOT of new ministry opportunities opening up at the church!! A new bus route, a base ministry and a Spanish ministry. Yay!! As soon as I get back from Mexico in August I'll be going out to Laurel to scout out possible buildings for the Spanish ministry. It's going to be a rough road but it's going to be a lot of fun at the same time. I'm also looking forward to the base ministry, if we can get that one off the ground. I think I'm going to be even busier this year than I was last year. And, to be honest, I'm actually looking forward to it. A little. Thirdly, I just figured out who River Song is. I was watching the Doctor Who DVD that Zach bought and I'm absolutely THRILLED. SWEET ACTION JACKSON. Fourthly, I'm so ready for school to start again. I'm bored to TEARS sitting around the house all day. "Why don't you go find something to do, Liz?" you ask. Because I'm cheap, that's why. I don't want to spend the money. Fifthly, there is no fifthly. That pretty much covers all the updates. lol

I'm going to go back outside and sit in this nice balmy weather again. That's definitely one of the benefits to having been in atrocious climates for so long. The stateside climates become relatively mild. I promise you I will have a nice tan yet. lol Thanks for reading! Ciao!!
